Thessaloniki Metro: A New Era of Connectivity Begins!
On Saturday, November 30th 2024, the main line of the Thessaloniki Metro will be delivered to the city’s residents and visitors.
The main network includes 13 stations: New Railway Station, Dimokratias, Venizelou, Agia Sofia, Syntrivani, University, Papafi, Efkleidis, Fleming, Analipsi, 25th Martiou, Voulgari, and Nea Elvetia.
The line spans 9.6 Km and operates with 18 state-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned, driverless trains, which are accompanied by attendants for passenger assistance. The stations are equipped with automatic platform doors for maximum safety and comfort.
The “Dimokratias” station is located just 50 m from Holiday Inn Thessaloniki, providing direct access for guests wishing to use the metro.
From November 30th to December 3rd 2024, transportation by metro will be free of charge.
